Help Provide Needed School Supplies to Foster Children:
Washington County Child Welfare and our foster parent community are reaching out to local businesses and organizations in an effort to collect school supplies for children involved with the foster care system. Our goal is to provide 800 children with school supplies as they begin the 2010 school year. We hope to be able to present children with new backpacks, pencils, pens, erasers, pencil sharpeners, scissors, glue sticks, markers, crayons, calculators, binders, folders, paper, etc.
With your help, we will give children who have been victims of abuse or neglect something to look forward to at the start of the 2010 school year.
The Department of Human Services, Child Welfare Department, is a non-profit organization (43-2012466). Your company will receive donation letter with your contribution. Any contributions will be highlighted in the flyer for the event. Flyers for the event will be mailed to community partners, Child Welfare staff and community partners.
