 OUR BEGINNINGS

In August 2009 while researching opportunities for adoption, we came across surprising statistics: In 2008 1,400 children went through the foster care system in Washington County. Right now there is only 1 foster family for every 7 children. In 2008, ONLY 300 children were adopted from the foster care system, which means 40% of these children will go through their lives with no permanent family. Our heart broke for these children. James 1:27 says "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…” We have taken this literally and have signed up to be foster parents and founded this organization to bring a Christ centered family to every orphan child in Oregon.
